Rover P4 Drivers' Guild 2019 National Rally - Celebrating the P4's 70th Anniversary

This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the P4 and as such we would like to celebrate the event in the fitting surroundings of Burghley House. The event will take place on Sunday 12th May, 2019 and will be hosted in the grounds of the impressive estate.

Burghley House is a grand sixteenth-century country house, built between 1555 and 1587. It is a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house, built by and still lived in by the Cecil family. The grounds and deer park were designed by Capability Brown, and include a 26 acre lake. The exterior very largely retains its Elizabethan appearance. Much of the interior was remodeled in the 18th Century, and the hundred plus rooms hold several hundred paintings. The house features in many period dramas so many of you will be familiar with it the surroundings. Being only one mile from the wonderfully beautifully town of Stamford, the event provides an idea reason for a longer visit to the area.

To enter the rally please complete the online booking application. There are two options available for booking:

Option 1 – Entry fee of £7.50

This covers your booking plus the memento, program and 70th Anniversary extras.

Option 2 – Entry fee of £12.50

Pay for booking in to the rally at £7.50 (as above) plus buying in advance the £5 per car fee (which goes to Burghley House) that gives you admission to the site and parking on the day.

This additional £5 parking fee still has to be paid on the day if you do not do so in advance. Paying in advance will give you more time on the day as you will not have to queue to make the payment when you arrive.

Parking on site gives access to the café, toilets and shop. We have agreed a group discount for those people who would like to visit the main house and gardens with a 2 for 1 discount available for people who book in for the event in advance. Tickets for this are sold on the day by the staff at the house.

If anyone would like to help out on the day and could lend some time to help with marshaling please let me know by email directly on

We look forward to welcoming you all on the day. If you have any ideas to help make the day more memorable then please do not hesitate in contacting me directly on the email address above.
